Matareva Coastal Walk
Return to Paradise Resort is the hub of some amazing authentic only-in-Samoa activities that are based around the natural resources of the surrounding villages. All these activities are focused on enjoying the environment while protecting it, and providing income for the local landowners.

Giant Clam Reserve
Kayak over or snorkel up close through this amazing site –giant clams, some as big as coffee tables growing in their natural habitat. The village has set up a protected reserve to protect these amazing creatures. Includes transport, kayak or paddle board, snorkel gear entry fee and tour guide.
Beaches and Waterfalls
An all day tour including the famous To Sua Trench, Aleipata Beaches, Togitogiga Waterfall and Sopoaga Waterfall, café lunch. Includes transport, all entry fees, lunch and tour guide.
Apia Town Tour
Includes Papapapatai Waterfall Bahai Temple, Robert Louis Stevenson Mansion and Museum, Cathedral, Traditional Food market, shopping and Papasaea Sliding Rock. All day tour includes transport, commentary and guide.
Swimming with turtles
Our guides will take you to a secret location where turtles cavort in their natural habitat. You can swim around these amazing gentle creatures – you will especially enjoy this with an underwater camera. Includes transport, kayak, entry fee, life jackets, snorkels and tour guide commentary
Matareva Coastal Walk
Walk the beautiful beach and forest track to Matareva Beach. This ancient track was carved out by our ancestors and the village chiefs have only recently given permission to re-open the track, providing the guide is a descendent of the ancestors who carved it. Includes blowholes, commentary and a silver service lunch at stunning Matareva Beach while being serenaded under the palms. Aaaahhhh…..!
Kayak the Rainforest River
A peacefully serene experience kayaking through our mangroves into the rainforest then back to the beach for a swim and traditional Samoan beach BBQ – includes transport, kayaks, lifejackets and a delicious BBQ lunch cooked the traditional way over hot rocks in the sand.
Spear and reef fishing
Our guides will show you how you too can live off the sea as their families have done for over a thousand years by traditional spear fishing and/or reef casting depending on the conditions. Cook your fish over a fire, or take your catch back to the resort and our chefs will serve it up for your dinner.
Savaii Island Tour
A one day visit to the Big Island – a ferry ride to the Big Island is like stepping back in time to when the world was a quieter place. Beautiful scenery and attractions include ancient star mounds and the famous blowholes.
An excellent introduction to Samoan culture in the traditional Samoan fale village setting, where you will be hosted by our talking Chief. You get to Participate in the daily tasks of a typical Samoan family, like making cocoa, learn how an ava ceremony is conducted and how to survive on the medicinal plants of Samoa’s forest.
Village & School Walking Tour
See all the spots in the village and hear the stories from the making of Return to Paradise movie starring Gary Cooper over 60 years ago. See insights into how the villages still live with our old traditions. The tour finishes with a visit to the local primary school where the proud children greet you enthusiastically and then sing their hearts out. Tour takes two hours on flat contour
Faleasela Waterfall Tour
Follow our beautiful river up into the jungle to some very photogenic and private waterfalls for a swim. Tour is tailored for fitness between two and five hours.
