We are as excited as you are that our borders are opening for travel. Along with the sweet anticipation of adventure, relaxation and exploration also come a few considerations that will help keep everyone safe.
With our borders reopening to international travellers from 1st August, we want to ensure you’re aware of the entry requirements so that you can go about planning and booking your Samoan adventure. Samoa’s entry conditions have been eased to-date and in the lead-up to reopening, the Ministry of Health has indicated that requirements will be relaxed further, giving confidence and inspiring travellers.
Here’s what you need to know so you can plan and book your Beautiful Adventure.
Fully Vaccinated
Travellers must be fully vaccinated with the prescribed 2 doses of vaccines pre-qualified by the World Health Organization (AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Janssen-single dose, Moderna, Sinopharm, Sinovac, Covaxin, Novavax).
Proof of Vaccination
A legitimate vaccine certificate is required for boarding. Being fully vaccinated implies completion of the required prescribed doses.
Negative Covid-Test
A Supervised Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) within 24 hours of departure or PCR, taken within 48 hours of departure.
- Nasal Swab on-arrival for PCR Test for Health Monitoring Purposes.
- Supervised RAT Test on Day 5 after arrival. Please arrange with the
Ministry of Health – surveillance@health.gov.ws.
Travellers are advised to take precautionary measures within 7-days. These include:
- Wearing a face mask in crowded places.
- Seeking medical attention when not feeling well.
