Honeymoon Samoa

This is the most beautiful beach we have ever been to with white sand, palm trees and turquoise water, picture postcard stuff. Although very dumpy at high tide, at low tide it is another world with warm water and brilliant tropical fish all around. Our room was large with a comfy bed and good sized deck. The rooms themselves could do with a bit of a refurb. Pools were very warm and nice to swim in. Good choice for the buffet breakfast and dinners were overall pretty good. The bar at the far end of the resort had lots of deck areas for happy hour and a lovely place to watch the sun go down with the surf underneath you. Do take advantage of the arranged tours, Tasi is a fantastic guide and although it may seem a little pricey, any tour with him is well worth it. The film night watching the 1952 film Return to Paradise is a fun night with dinner, a talk about the filming and viewing the film on a big screen TV, with free popcorn! Very cute. We were disappointed with the cultural night. Would love to have heard more Samoan songs and less Elvis, ABBA and hymns. The only negatives were we had 50 tala, that was in my day bag, dissappear from our room. Although reported, nothing came of this and we didn't want it to ruin our stay. Also keep a record of what you spend. Our bill was out by 150 tala and it was a drawn out procedure to correct this. Luckily we had left plenty of time for checkout. Having said that, the staff were lovely. A special mention for Victoria and in the spa area April was very good

We could not have had a better experience at return to paradise resort!

From the moment Fosi and Maua picked us up from the airport, we knew we were in good hands. On the way to the resort, they cracked jokes, and told us some of the customs living village life in Samoa!

We were lucky enough to arrive on a Wednesday afternoon, which meant we were able to book ourselves into the “Fia fia” night (this is an absolute MUST)! We also highly recommend the village tour, movie night, string band night, and the turtle and clam tour! We should also point out that all the performers at all the shows, are staff members at the resort! So just keep in mind that the person carrying your bags/making your room/cooking your food may have many other talents!

The grounds of the resort are stunning, and very well maintained. A dense mixture of well-kept tropical plants straddle most of the paths, and the resort’s private beach is lined with coconut trees, so it really is its own little slice of paradise!

The food and drinks at the bar, cafe, and restaurant are all equally delicious! The breakfast buffet has a variety of fruits, cakes, cereals, toast, juices, and a full hot breakfast with baked beans or spaghetti, poached or scrambled eggs, sausages, and hash browns.
Make sure you also try the “monkey business” smoothie from Tia!

The real highlight of this whole resort, however, are the staff. From the drivers, to the tour guides, performers, reception, food and beverage team, grounds keepers, all the front of house, and back of house staff… everyone really makes a conscious effort to greet you with a smile and a “Talofa”! They really endeavour to make you feel like you’re part of the “family”.

Ramona (the owner, and captain of the RTD ship), Mika (manager) Tia, Vanessa, Tupu, Maria, Ah Key, Lotu (we hope your dad feels better), there are two fellas both named “Tasi” (one from our tour, and one from Food and beverage), Mai Mai (thank you for the wonderful hats! Customs Australia let them in), Mollee (hopefully we got the spelling right?), Victoria (good luck with the baby), Maua, Han, Lulia, David, and we’d like to give a special mention to Liana, and a very special mention to Fosi, who really liked after us throughout our stay.

We’d also like to thank all the other staff behind the scenes for making our stay special, and also mention Aunty Pisupo! We never got to meet her, but her news letter each day gives such a nice touch, and gosh she’s hilarious!!!

We really enjoyed our 15 days at RTP the staff were great from the front of house right through to the cleaners, everyone was efficient and very friendly. I won't name them in case I miss someone. The food was very good but by the second week we could have done with more options. The show nights are a must do as some of this is the best you will see anywhere in the world. Snorkeling is well worth doing when the tides are right, we did this every day and to our surprise we saw something different on every occasion. The pools are well looked after but we preferred to swim in the ocean, beautiful clear water just be careful of the currents. We had a beach front room which had excellent views and breezes and a short walk to the water.
Overall this resort is up there with the best we have stayed at.
I would have given it a 5 star rating, but the amount of cats hanging around the eating areas, on tables etc, we thought was unhygienic hence we marked it down.
Before closing special mention to Mika he went out of his way to help us with the cyclone in Brisbane he followed up flights etc and generally was a great man.

We had the most incredible family stay at Return to Paradise! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel completely at home—so friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. The food was absolutely delicious, with a variety of options that kept both the kids and adults happy. The resport organises buffet nights, fiafia nights and other entertainment.

The resort boasts the most amazing sunsets. The beach was stunning—pristine, peaceful, and perfect for relaxing or playing. The snorkelling was a real highlight, with crystal-clear water and vibrant marine life just steps from the shore. There're also 3 pools, which the kids appreciated. Our whole family, from the little ones to the grown-ups, had such a fantastic time.

I was able to book a relaxing massage for my birthday, and the staff organised a cake for me, which was a special touch.

We truly felt taken care of every step of the way, and the entire experience was relaxing, fun, and unforgettable. We can’t wait to come back!

Absolutely loved our 3 nights at Return to Paradise Resort & Spa, only downfall was that we didn't book longer!
We were a group of 10, and we booked 2x 2-bedroom villas, which had everything a family would need, and there was more than enough space for us all.
The views from our doorstep were amazing, the gardens and entire property are kept clean and tidy, the staff were very welcoming, helpful, and the food were all delicious! We highly recommend staying at Return to Paradise when you're in Samoa, and we can't wait to visit again.
