Bask in the Samoan Sun, Sand and Surf
Return to Paradise Resort is a launching pad to many authentic, renowned, iconic and ‘only-in-Samoa’ activity options most of which are based around the natural resources of the nearby villages.
All activities are focused on enjoying the environment while simultaneously protecting it while providing income for the local landowners.
Giant Clam Reserve
Kayak or snorkel through this amazing site of giant clams, some as big as an armchair growing in their natural habitat. The village has set up a conservation reserve to protect these amazing creatures.
Paopao (Traditional Samoan Kayak)
Guests will be taught how to navigate this traditional craft by our guides. You will be taken on a guided tour through mangrove swamps out to the lagoon and across to a beautiful secluded beach only accessible from the sea for lunch.
Swimming with Turtles
Our guides will take you to a secret location where turtles cavort in their natural habitat. You can swim with these amazing gentle creatures and this experience is best enjoyed with an underwater camera.
An excellent introduction to Samoan culture in a traditional village setting where you will be hosted by our talking Chief. Participate in the daily tasks of a typical Samoan family by learning how to make ‘umu‘ (underground cooking), the conducting of a kava ceremony and how to survive on the medicinal plants of Samoa’s forests.
You will be shown by our guides how you too can live off the sea as their families have done for over a thousand years with traditional spear fishing. Cook your
fish over fire, or take your catch back to the resort and our chefs will serve it up for your dinner.
Other activities include the To-Sua Ocean Trench, waterfall cascades, natural mineral pools, outdoor fitness trail, petanque, volleyball, reef fishing, guided tours, and sunset cocktails at Rock Pool bar etc.
Within an hour’s drive of the resort you will find surfing, game fishing, three golf courses, deep sea diving, shopping, bars and restaurants, etc.
You could also relax and enjoy the pleasures all around the resort, the pools or the beach. Perhaps the most challenging decision of the day is to whether have lunch at Paradise Kitchen or the Rock Pool Bar or have it brought to you by the pool. Maybe your most difficult quandary would be whether to have your sundowner drink at the Rock Pool Bar or at The Cabana or have it brought to you whilst watching the sun paint the sky in amazing Samoan skyline colours.
